If you're into wood on the ceiling, the floor and the cabinets...
... we think this is a great example of using this finish material in a way that's elegant, intentional, and very contemporary. Hat Tip for good use of materials. Other elements in this photo that we want to highlight as noteworthy:
tinted black glass panel @ upper cabinets - nice!
the black gloss light fixtures work nicely with the black tinted glass - very nice!
the island front panel design - simple and interesting way to break up the grain
herringbone floor & the plank ceiling work really nicely together
the wall paint, and interior finish trim to be the same color which eliminates visual competition for the wood tones.
